Tepid Interest in 'Digital Vault'

By Mark Brousseau

While a number of prominent financial institutions have recently introduced so-called digital vault solutions to archive images of various documents and records on behalf of their corporate and retail clients, the results of a recent TAWPI Question of the Week shows lukewarm interest in the concept among visitors to the association’s Web site.

Seventy-four percent of respondents said they had no interest in the concept, while just 12 percent of respondents said they were interested. Fourteen percent of respondents weren’t sure what to make of the service (obviously, they weren’t on the banks’ news distribution list).

What do think of the digital vault concept? Post your comments below.
